This web page shares resources developed through a National Science Foundation (NSF) Noyce Teacher Scholars grant to the University of California Santa Cruz (“Integrated Mathematics and Science Teacher Recruitment, Preparation, and Induction Pathway for the Central California Coastal Region,” April 2019-March 2025). A component of this work was to increase communication and collaboration among the partner institutions in order to make it easier for aspiring math and science teachers to find their way into the profession and for partner institutions to support new teachers. We developed resources to serve different constituencies:
- Aspiring Math & Science Teachers: high school, community college, or university students who are aspiring teachers or merely curious about the profession.
- Current Math & Science Teachers: in-service math or science teachers employed in K-12 schools.
- Teacher Educators / Career Counselors: high school counselors, community college or university faculty or staff, and informal STEM education organizations that provide teacher preparation or professional development.
- Schools & Districts: teacher employers.
Whatever your role in the Monterey Bay region math and science teacher community, we hope this site helps you!
